Privacy Notice
In plain words: This website has no sign-ups, forms, cookies or tracking. If you email us, we use your email only to reply. On Discord, what you post is handled by Discord and visible to other members and moderators. We never sell your information, and we share it only to protect someone's safety or when the law requires it.
1. What this notice covers
This notice covers thelistenersguild.com, listenersguild.com, The Listeners Guild Discord server and email to Guild addresses. It should be read with our Terms of Use.
2. The website
- We do not use cookies, analytics, ads, sign-ups or forms.
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and protect the site.
- The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.
3. Email
If you email a Guild address, we receive your email address, name (if your email shows one) and your message through Google Workspace. We use this only to reply and to run the Guild, including reviewing listener applications. We delete messages and applications when they are no longer needed, and you can ask us to delete them sooner.
4. Discord
- Discord collects and controls your account information and messages under Discord's Privacy Policy.
- Your posts in the forum and public channels, and what you say in voice rooms, can be seen or heard by other members.
- Moderators can see posts, member lists and moderation logs.
- We use Discord's automatic moderation tools, which scan messages for certain safety-related words and alert moderators so a listener can check in.
- Listeners agree not to keep notes, screenshots or recordings of conversations.
5. How we share information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We share it only:
- with Guild volunteers who need it to support you or keep the Guild safe;
- with emergency services, Discord's Trust & Safety team or law enforcement when we believe in good faith that someone is at serious or imminent risk of harm;
- when the law requires it, or to protect the Guild and its members from fraud, abuse or legal claims.
6. People under 18
The Guild is not for anyone under 18. If we learn that we hold information about someone under 18, we delete it and remove them from the Guild.
7. Your choices
- Use a nickname and leave out identifying details.
- Delete your own Discord messages, or leave the server at any time.
- Ask us to delete emails or applications you sent, or anything else we hold about you, by writing to hello@thelistenersguild.com. We will do so unless we need to keep it for safety or legal reasons.
8. Security
We protect Guild accounts with two-factor authentication and keep moderator channels private. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed without permission.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this notice and will change the effective date when we do. Questions or requests: hello@thelistenersguild.com.
